    Hi raf

Thanks for the screenshot. Since you're on iPhone and the error appears after entering the verification code, it may be related to the handoff between Safari and Minecraft rather than the code itself.

    Try:

    • In Settings > Safari, clear History and Website Data.
    • Make sure Safari is the default browser and that both iOS and Minecraft are fully up to date.
    • Sign in to your Microsoft account successfully in Safari first, then return to Minecraft and try again.
    • If the issue continues, reinstall Minecraft and test on a different network (Wi‑Fi vs. cellular).

Also, does the error occur immediately after submitting the code, or only when Safari tries to return to Minecraft? That detail may help narrow down whether the issue is with account verification or the app sign-in flow.

This usually happens because the sign-in or verification request is being temporarily blocked, the verification method is failing, or the mobile sign-in flow is not completing correctly.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Stop repeated attempts for now Too many repeated verification requests can trigger a temporary block. Wait at least 24 hours before trying again. If it still fails, wait longer, up to 1 week. Do not keep retrying during that wait, because repeated attempts can reset the lock period.
    2. Try a different network Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or try another Wi-Fi network. Microsoft notes that network conditions or compromised traffic from a location can cause temporary blocks.
    3. Try another verification method If the account has another method available, use it instead of the current one. For example, use an alternate email instead of SMS.
    4. Check the verification destination
      • If the code is sent by email, make sure it is going to the correct mailbox.
      • Check the Junk folder.
      • Valid verification emails come from @accountprotection.microsoft.com.
      • If using a phone, make sure the phone does not block texts from unknown numbers.
      • If a VOIP number was added, replace it with a mobile phone number, because VOIP numbers cannot be used for sign-in verification codes.
    5. Verify the account security info On the Microsoft account Security basics page, sign in and select Update info to confirm the phone number or email on the account is correct.
    6. If the sign-in page offers “I don’t have any of these” Use that option to replace security info or start account recovery if the listed verification method is no longer accessible.
    7. Use the Microsoft sign-in helper If the problem continues, use the sign-in helper to identify account issues and available recovery options.

For Minecraft on mobile specifically, one accepted support answer also suggests this mobile workaround:

    • Force close Minecraft.
    • In the mobile browser, sign in to the Microsoft account first and stay signed in if prompted.
    • Reopen Minecraft and try signing in again.
    • Make sure Minecraft is updated.
    • If needed, clear the Minecraft app cache and try again.

If the error appears immediately after entering the code, the most likely next step is to stop retrying, wait 24 hours, then try again on a different network or with a different verification method.
