Address labels

I'm creating address labels. On the 3rd line, every time I type an address it makes the whole sheet the same address. For example,

Name (stays what I wrote)

Address (Stays what I wrote)

Address (changes to make the whole sheet the same thing)

Address (stays what I wrote)

How do I keep that third line to stay what I'm writing and not be the whole page?

    Hi Saullo,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on the tag of your post, I can see that you have tagged it as Project.

From what I have been able to find, the Address Labels feature appears to be a feature of Microsoft Word.

I'd like to confirm a few details: are you using Microsoft Project or Microsoft Word?

If you are using Microsoft Word, could you please let me know whether you are using Mail Merge or simply using standard Labels to perform this task?

In addition, could you please share a screenshot of the issue? (Please make sure to hide or redact any personal information before sharing it.)

Based on the information you provide, I'll be able to offer the most accurate and effective answer.

I look forward to hearing from you.

This usually happens in Word mail merge when that label line is being treated as static text and then copied to every label, instead of using merge fields and the next-record behavior.

    Use this fix:

    1. In the first label only, insert the address fields for all lines instead of typing the repeating line as plain text.
    2. Select Mailings > Update Labels.
    3. Press Alt + F9 to show field codes.
    4. Check that every label after the first starts with «NextRecord» before the merge fields.
    5. Select Preview Results and confirm each label now shows a different address.
    6. Finish the merge with Finish & Merge > Edit Individual Documents or print.

If the problem is only that one address line is repeating across the page, that line is likely not inserted correctly in the first label before Update Labels was used.

If creating a full page of identical labels was intended, Word can do that from Mailings > Labels > Full page of the same label. But for different addresses, use mail merge fields in the first label and then Update Labels.
