Windows 7 is EOL and no longer supported by Microsoft.
Win 11, yes, but also Win 7?
I have a Win 11 Home Laptop and a Win 11 Pro Surface that I use for meetings. But almost four decades of my social life is on two Win 7 Pro machines.
Everything was fine until I began receiving notices on my Win 7 Pro Laptop to activate it. I went through the process and ultimately arrived at a web page that said you can't do that, your machine is too old, buy a new computer and use Win 11. (I'm paraphrasing.)
Is Microsoft really going to try and force old people like me who already have and use Win 11 for other purposes to give up our Win 7 machines? Or is this just a marketing scheme that will ultimately end with Microsoft giving grace to those of us who have been using Microsoft Windows since version 2.0?
