    Hi ayomide dennis,

Based on what you've described, it sounds like your Microsoft account may still be carrying restrictions that were applied when the account was originally registered with an underage birth date. Even after updating the date of birth, some Xbox account settings can take time to fully reflect the change across services.

As a quick check, please try the following:

    1. Sign in at Microsoft account and confirm that your corrected date of birth is displayed.
    2. Review your recent Microsoft account activity and ensure the age update has been fully saved.
    3. Sign out of the Xbox app, Xbox Companion app, and any Xbox-related services, then sign back in to refresh account information.
    4. Test changing your privacy settings from a different device or web browser to rule out a local app issue.

I hope this helps point you in the right direction. Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.
