Cannot remove a blocked sender (Outlook web)

I am trying to remove an email address from my blocked senders in hotmail and it comes up with the error message 'couldn't save changes something went wrong please try again later' I have tried for two days and keep getting this message.

This was caused by an issue with the Microsoft Mail servers. It has been fixed for most people.

If you are still seeing this issue, for a workaround to over-ride an entry in your Blocked Senders list and allow the email to be delivered to your Inbox:

thanks Hornblower409 I have used the workaround so hopefully I will now receive the emails from that sender!

Also, keep testing to see if the standard Remove Blocked Sender has started working for you. I never had the problem to begin with, but I am seeing multiple reports that the functionality has been restored for many who were impacted. e.g.

And as by a magic, everything works again and I never made changes to my settings. I never got a response to my feedback to Microsoft either but I am now able to make changes to my safe sender list and save those changes. This issue had persisted for the last couple of weeks but now it's miraculously fixed.

Who is the email service provider for the account?
