Try these in order:
- Change the desktop background setting
- Right-click the desktop and select Personalize.
- Open Background.
- If Personalize your background is set to Windows Spotlight, change it to Picture, Solid color, or another preferred option.
- This can remove the changing Bing-style wallpaper and related desktop items.
- Reset the theme if the background keeps changing
- Go to Settings > Personalization > Themes.
- Switch to the default Windows theme.
- Then return to Background and set the preferred image or solid color again.
- Remove the Bing Wallpaper app if it is installed
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Search for Bing Wallpaper.
- If it appears, select it and choose Uninstall.
- This is the most direct fix if Bing Wallpaper is overriding the Lenovo laptop background settings.
- If using an older Bing desktop component, uninstall it from Control Panel
- Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Select Bing Desktop or Bing Bar if present.
- Choose Uninstall and follow the prompts.
If the laptop is blocked by the message and the desktop cannot be used normally, start with any available path into Settings or Control Panel and remove Bing Wallpaper first.
