Purchased refurbished surface 4 and 5. Need keys for windows pro 11, for future updates

I understand why you want to ensure that both refurbished Surface devices remain properly activated and continue receiving future Windows updates.

You normally do not need a new product key for each Windows update. Please check Settings > System > Activation on both devices. If the status says “Windows is activated with a digital license” or “Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account,” no additional key should be required for the same Windows edition.

Could you please confirm the activation status shown on each Surface, whether both devices came with Windows 11 Pro preinstalled, and where they were purchased? Also, are you seeing an activation error or an “Activate Windows” watermark?

Since the Surface Laptop 4 is showing build 26200.9278, please also check Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program and let me know whether the device is enrolled in an Insider channel.

If Windows is not activated, please check the device packaging or Certificate of Authenticity. For a refurbished device, the refurbisher or seller is responsible for providing the applicable Windows license or product key. Please do not share the full product key in this public forum.
