My domain & Email is hosted on google. if i add my domain to teams, does this affect my email on the current hosting?

    Adding your domain to Microsoft Teams will not break your Google Workspace email, as long as you leave your existing email DNS records unchanged.

    Email routing across the internet is controlled entirely by your domain’s MX (Mail Exchange) records. As long as your domain’s DNS points its MX records to Google (smtp.google.com), all incoming email will continue to land in your Google Workspace inbox.

    While your regular emails will route to Google Workspace without issue, Microsoft Teams meeting invites sent from within Teams to internal colleagues may attempt to deliver to local Microsoft 365 mailboxes instead of Google.

    If you run into issues receiving Teams meeting updates in Gmail, you can configure dual routing or Exchange mail flow rules to route outgoing Microsoft mail to Google's servers.
