Yes. Windows 11 version 26H1 is a current General Availability Channel release, and the latest listed build for 26H1 is 28000.2704 with the 2026-08 B update dated 2026-08-11.
A few important points from the release information:
- 26H1 is only for new devices with select new silicon starting in early 2026.
- Existing devices on earlier Windows 11 versions are not offered 26H1 through Windows Update and cannot be installed as an in-place update.
- Devices already running Windows 11, version 26H1 continue to receive the normal monthly security and preview servicing updates.
To verify whether a device is actually on 26H1:
- Go to Start > Settings > System > About
- Under Windows specifications, check Version
- Or run winver
If the device is already on 26H1, Windows Update should deliver the latest monthly update for that branch automatically when available. If the device is on 24H2 or 25H2, it should not be expected to move to 26H1 through normal Windows Update.
