Lack of functionality with MS outlook calendar and Teams

I can't link outlook with my calendar.

There is no facility for me to accept Teams invitations.

    Teams and Outlook calendar integration is only available with supported Microsoft 365 Exchange-based work or school accounts. Outlook and Teams calendars normally work together seamlessly, but the integration may not function as expected if the applications are signed in with different accounts, if the mailbox is not hosted on Microsoft 365 Exchange, or if the Teams integration has been disabled.

    Please try the following steps:

    1/ Confirm that Outlook and Teams are using the same account

    In both Outlook and Microsoft Teams, select your profile picture and verify that you are signed in with the same work or school account.

    Please note that Teams calendar integration requires a Microsoft 365 Exchange mailbox. Accounts configured through POP/IMAP services such as Gmail, Yahoo, or iCloud do not support full Teams and Outlook calendar integration.

    2/ Test the invitation in Outlook on the web

    • Go to: https://outlook.cloud.microsoft
    • Sign in with the same account used in Teams.
    • Check both your Inbox and Calendar.
    • Open the meeting invitation and see whether the options to Accept, Tentative, or Decline are available.
    • If present, select Join Teams Meeting.

    If the invitation works in Outlook on the web but not in the desktop application, the issue is likely related to the local Outlook installation or Teams integration.

    3/ Restart Teams and Outlook

    • Close Outlook.

    • Junk Email and Deleted Items folders
    • All calendars listed under My Calendars
    • Whether the invitation was sent to an alternate email address or alias
