I was included in a recurring meeting that was set up by someone else. They left the company and cancelled the meeting so someone else could set up same meeting. How can delete/remove all future occurrences of the meeting without deleting the past occurrences?

Hello @Nisha C

Based on your provided information, I understand that you are having a concern related to the option "Delete This and All Following Events" is only available to the organizer of the recurring meeting. If you are an attendee of a meeting organized by another user, this option is currently unavailable in Teams or Outlook. As a workaround, you can manually delete each future occurrence from your own calendar.

I understand how frustrating this experience can be. To help improve the product, I strongly encourage you to submit your feedback directly through the Microsoft Feedback Portal. The Microsoft development teams actively review customer feedback, and many enhancements have been implemented based on community input.

If you decide to submit feedback, please feel free to share the link with me. I would be more than happy to support it, and doing so may also help increase visibility so that other users experiencing the same situation can find and endorse it. The more engagement a request receives, the higher the likelihood that it will be carefully reviewed.

I sincerely hope this feedback will be reviewed and upgraded by Microsoft in the near future. If you have any future concerns, please feel free to let me know.

If the meeting was organized by someone else, future occurrences cannot be removed while keeping past occurrences unless each future instance is deleted one by one.

Supported options:

  1. If the series is still on the calendar, right-click the meeting and select Delete.
  2. If prompted under Series, choose the appropriate option.
    • Deleting the Series removes both past and future occurrences.
    • To avoid removing past occurrences, delete each future occurrence individually.

Important limitation:

  • If not the meeting organizer, editing the series to end it early is not available.
  • Deleting the series removes all past occurrences too.
  • The only way to remove future occurrences without removing past occurrences is to delete each instance individually.
