I am currently a graduate student at Fuzhou University. I need a free server through the Azure Student Program to conduct some experimental research, but I encountered a problem during registration; I received a message stating, “You are not eligible for an Azure free account.”

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A.

@Zealer G I hope you are doing well.

If you have already graduated from Fuzhou University and are no longer currently enrolled as a full-time student, that is likely why you are receiving the "You are not eligible for an Azure free account" message. Azure for Students is intended for currently enrolled full-time students at an accredited, degree-granting institution. Microsoft also requires academic verification through the institution's email address. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/education-hub/faq?"Frequently

Therefore, having previously been a student at the university is not sufficient for the Azure for Students offer.

If you are still enrolled in another degree/program (for example, a current graduate program), you should verify your status using the email account associated with that current enrollment.

If you have graduated and only need Azure for research, you may want to look at other options such as Azure free services, Azure credits provided by your university, or research/education programs available through your institution.
