Issue: OneNote notebook section will not sync — persistent "Can't sync, server busy" error

Details: - One section within a notebook shows a greyed-out cloud icon and will not sync. - Attempting to manually sync returns the error: "Can't sync, server busy." - The affected section is password-protected. The password unlocks successfully on all devices, so this is not a password/decryption issue. - One specific page in this section shows "Page Not Yet Available — Sorry, it looks like this page was added from another computer and hasn't synced yet." - This same "Page Not Yet Available" message appears identically on TWO separate devices: an iPhone (where the page/password was originally set up) and an Android tablet. - Already tried: closing and reopening the notebook, forcing sync from both devices, confirming correct Microsoft account on both devices, confirming OneDrive app is not paused, checking notebook recycle bin. - Already contacted Microsoft support via chat twice; the agent repeated the same basic troubleshooting steps without resolution and did not escalate to Tier 2. Request: Since the error persists identically across two devices and returns a specific server-side error ("server busy") rather than a device/network issue, please escalate this to Tier 2 / backend engineering support to check server-side sync logs for this notebook.

    Hello Kenneth Beal

I’m sorry that you have had to repeat the same troubleshooting without reaching a resolution.

Given that the same page and sync error appear on two separate devices, there does not seem to be anything further I can meaningfully troubleshoot from the Community side.

Unfortunately, Community members cannot access server-side sync logs or escalate a support case to Tier 2 or the OneNote engineering team. Please contact Microsoft Support again, provide the existing case or chat reference numbers, and specifically request that the case be escalated for investigation of the notebook’s server-side sync state.

I understand this is not the resolution you were hoping to receive here, but further investigation will require access available only to Microsoft Support.

    Have a nice day.
