Hi Malika Kelly,
If your notebook appears different between OneNote Desktop and OneNote on the web, it may help to verify that both are connected to the same notebook location and account.
Try these quick checks:
- In OneNote Desktop, go to File > Account and confirm you're signed in with the same Microsoft account used in OneNote for the web.
- Create a new test page in the notebook from the web version and wait a few minutes to see if it appears in the desktop app.
- If the new page does not appear, create a new notebook in OneDrive and test whether syncing works there. This can help determine whether the issue is specific to one notebook.
- Check that OneDrive has available storage space, as a full storage quota can prevent notebook updates from syncing correctly.
If you continue to experience the issue, please let us know:
- Whether the notebook is stored in OneDrive or SharePoint.
- Whether changes made in the desktop app fail to reach the web version, or vice versa.
- Any error message shown in File > Info > Notebook Properties.
That information will help narrow down the cause and identify the most appropriate next steps. We look forward to your update and will be glad to assist further.
