Visio Pro 2021 - How to cancel a pring job inside visio

There is evidently some communication issue between Visio and the printer. Visio says it has 3 document queued for printing, there is nothing in the print queue which seems to indicate that they are waiting inside Visio. After some research, there does not seem to be any apparent method to cancel those jobs inside Visio. They can be printed to an alternate printer, but they need to be cleaned up inside the program. Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much for the thoughts, it probably was the spooler - the printer had run out of paper in the middle of the print (multi-segmented page) and maybe the spooler got wrapped around itself :-) . There really should be some reasonable way to abort the process, however . . . Just sayin' . . . Looked through the registry and cfgs to see if there was a flag to disable background printing, but it looks like it's hard coded. The print queue is pretty useless, since it just dumps the data into the printer memory and waits till it clears the process, but if the data never gets to the queue, then there's no trivial way to cancel it. Really appreciate your thoughts, they did help to dump it into the printer - I'll remember that one - add it to the never ending list. Thanks again.

Based on my research, it appears that Visio does not provide a dedicated interface to view or cancel individual background print jobs once they have been queued. According to Microsoft's documentation, Visio will not close until a print job has been sent to the printer after you click Print. This suggests that Visio maintains its own background printing process before the job is fully handed off to the Windows print queue.

To troubleshoot this, you could try to:

Close Visio completely, or end VISIO.EXE from Task Manager if it does not close normally. This may clear any pending background print jobs.
Restart the Print Spooler service by opening Run (Win + R), typing services.msc, locating Print Spooler, and selecting Restart. This can help resolve communication issues between Visio and the printer.
