Error Message “0x0 Retry Later”.

Running OSCatalina 10.15.8.

Office 365 has stopped working. I have tried updating. Nothing loads. I get error code 0x0 and no solutions other than Retry Later. Frustrating.

    If you are using a version of macOS earlier than macOS 12, that's actually the reason. Since July 13, 2026, older macOS versions can no longer receive the renewed activation certificate, which can cause Office to enter reduced functionality mode, even though the apps themselves may still open.

    Your options are to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on the web through Microsoft 365 web https://microsoft365.com/, or move to a Mac running macOS 12 or later.
