Since the messages are missing in both Outlook.com and Outlook on the web, this points to a mailbox-side issue rather than a device or app issue.

    Check these areas in Outlook.com:

    1. Deleted Items
      • Open Deleted Items.
      • If the messages are there, select them and choose Restore.
      • If they are not there, in Deleted Items select Recover items deleted from this folder and restore any messages found.
      • Messages removed from Deleted Items are recoverable for 30 days.
    2. Junk Email
      • Open Junk Email.
      • If messages were moved there incorrectly, select them and choose Report > Not junk.
      • Messages in Junk Email are automatically removed after 30 days and are not recoverable.
    3. Archive
      • Open the Archive folder.
      • If the messages are there, select them and choose Move to > Inbox.
    4. Focused Inbox / Other tab
      • If Focused Inbox is enabled, check the Other tab.
      • If messages are there, select them and choose Move to > Move to Focused inbox.
    5. Filter settings
      • Above the message list, select Filter and then All.
      • A filter can hide messages from view.
    6. Rules
      • Go to Rules settings and review any Inbox rules or Sweep rules that may be moving or deleting messages.
      • Edit or delete any rule that is incorrectly moving mail.
      • Rules can only be viewed and edited on a computer.
    7. Recent sign-in activity
      • If there is any concern that someone else accessed the account, review the account’s recent sign-in activity.

If the messages are not in Deleted Items, Recover items deleted from this folder, Junk Email, Archive, Other, or another folder, and no rule explains the move, the remaining step is to contact Outlook.com support from Help in Outlook.com, enter the issue, then go to Still need help? and select Yes.
