    Hello Matt McIntyre,

    Please try these steps:

    • Open Finder > Settings > Sidebar.
    • Enable Cloud Storage.
    • If OneDrive still does not appear, press Shift + Command + G.
    • Enter ~/Library/CloudStorage.
    • Drag the OneDrive folder into Finder’s sidebar.

    Dear @Matt McIntyre

If you want to have OneDrive available directly in Finder, install the OneDrive app on your Mac and sign in with your Microsoft account. During the initial setup, you can choose where your OneDrive folder should be located.

Once the setup is complete, OneDrive should appear in Finder automatically. If it is missing from the sidebar, open Finder Settings → Sidebar and check that OneDrive is enabled.

To make OneDrive appear in Finder on Mac, install and sign in to the OneDrive sync app, then enable Finder integration.

    1. Download and install OneDrive for Mac.
    2. Open OneDrive using cmd+Space, type OneDrive, and sign in with the Microsoft account.
    3. During setup, choose the OneDrive folder location if needed.
    4. After setup, enable Finder integration:
      • Select the Apple logo
      • Open System Preferences
      • Select Extensions
      • Turn on OneDrive Finder Integration

After that, OneDrive files should sync to the OneDrive folder, and Finder overlays should appear. If more than one account is used, Finder shows them as OneDrive – Personal and OneDrive – [CompanyName].

If OneDrive is installed but still does not appear correctly in Finder, sign in again and when prompted that the folder already exists, select Use this folder.

If Desktop or Documents backup is expected on macOS, OneDrive also needs:

    • the standalone sync app, not the Mac App Store version
    • Full Disk Access enabled in System Preferences > Security & Privacy Preferences > Privacy
