Ok, so I'm trying to highlight text so I can copy it or delete it on a MacBook Pro. However, when I try to highlight text, nothing shows on the screen. This annoying snafu only happens in Microsoft. For instance, I can see what I highlight as I type this text. The highlighting of text only doesn't work in a Microsoft document.

I can't find anything in the help files or commands to set a color so that when I highlight something I can see visually what I just highlighted. Any help?

This is rarely a matter of a setting or preference. It is a very common occurrence since Apple started their rapid-fire OS releases but is usually easy to rectify as described in this long-standing Answer:Select Text

If you continue to have a problem be sure to include present Version Numbers of bot macOS & Office. That information always is important.
