This usually happens because region-based Microsoft offers and subscriptions may not work after moving to another country or region. Microsoft states that items obtained in one region might not work in another, and specifically notes that if Microsoft 365 was purchased in one region and used in another, activation can fail until the original-region subscription is gone. The same region mismatch principle applies to Store content and offers.
Try these steps:
- Verify the same Microsoft account is being used
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used when the laptop was first set up.
- On the device, open Microsoft Store and check Library and Included with device if that section is available.
- Check whether the offer was already redeemed
- Review the Microsoft subscriptions page and confirm whether the Game Pass offer is already attached to the account.
- Update the device and Store
- Install pending Windows updates.
- Install pending Microsoft Store updates.
- Restart the laptop and check the included offer again.
- Try redeeming on the web instead of the app
- Go to https://www.microsoft.com/redeem.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account and gamertag intended for redemption.
- Enter the code or follow the prompts if the offer appears there.
- Review the region change impact
- Microsoft recommends changing region only when moving for a long time because apps, games, subscriptions, and account balance from one region might not work in another.
- When changing region, funds do not move between regions.
- If the offer was tied to the original purchase region or device entitlement
- OEM promotional Game Pass offers can be tied to the device and may need verification by the laptop manufacturer.
- Contact ASUS support to confirm the bundled entitlement for the laptop purchased in Saudi Arabia.
- If redemption still fails
- Contact Microsoft Support through Contact Microsoft Support and choose Get Help, then Contact Support.
