We would like you to add Aruban Papiamento to your list of languages for translations and TTS. This is for our Road Traffic Theory testing System for the Aruban Police Department, which conducts all the Aruban riding/driving theory tests.

    Hi Michael Davidson,

Thank you for your suggestion. We understand the importance of supporting Aruban Papiamento for your Road Traffic Theory Testing System used by the Aruban Police Department.

At present, Aruban Papiamento is not listed as a supported language for Azure Translator or Azure Speech Text-to-Speech services, based on the current Azure language support documentation.

New language additions are evaluated by the product team based on factors such as customer demand, available language resources, and engineering feasibility.

We recommend submitting this as a formal product feedback/request through the Azure feedback channel and including the following business justification:

    • The service is used by the Aruban Police Department.
    • It supports official driving/road traffic theory examinations.
    • Native Aruban Papiamento support is required for both translation and text-to-speech scenarios.

We will also document this request internally as product feedback so that the appropriate engineering teams are aware of the business need. However, we are unable to provide an ETA or commitment regarding future language support at this time.

Thank you for your understanding and for sharing this important requirement with us.
