When I download a folder in Sharepoint, a zip file is output, but it contains All_Error files (see attachments), and I can't download the Excel or Word files actually stored in the folder.

Please tell me how to eliminate this situation.

    Hello Ford Celestine,

To help narrow down the cause, could you please confirm the following information?

    • Does the issue occur with only one specific SharePoint folder or with multiple folders?
    • Can you open and download the affected Word and Excel files individually?
    • Approximately how many files and subfolders are contained in the affected folder?
    • Are there any unusually long file names, or special characters in the file or folder names?
    • Does the same behavior occur when using another browser, an InPrivate or Incognito window, or another device?
    • If the document library is synchronized through OneDrive, can you access the affected files through the OneDrive sync folder?
    • Do other users with access to the same SharePoint folder receive the same All_Error file?
    • What permission level do you have on the site or folder, such as View, Edit, or Owner?

I found another Microsoft Q&A discussion describing the same behavior, where the downloaded ZIP contained an All_Error file instead of the documents: All_Error file appears when downloading a SharePoint folder - Microsoft Q&A

Because the issue occurs while SharePoint Online is creating the ZIP package, it may require a service-side review if the same behavior persists across browsers, devices, and users. In that case, please ask your Microsoft 365 IT administrator to report the issue and open a support request through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. A Microsoft Support agent can review the SharePoint service-side diagnostic information using the Correlation ID and timestamp from the All_Error file.

When opening a support ticket, please make sure the Support Assistant (AI) in the Help panel is turned Off. Several customers have reported that the Contact Support option may not appear while the Support Assistant is enabled. Once the AI assistant is turned off, you should be able to enter a description of the issue and the Contact Support option will appear, allowing you to submit a ticket directly to Microsoft Support.

Please share the requested information when convenient. This will help me better understand the issue.

    Kind regards,
