I upgraded from Office Professional 2021 to Office Professional 2024 yesterday.
The most noticeable change for me is Outlook. While I understand I can switch back to Classic Outlook, I actually prefer the layout of New Outlook.
However, I can't find a calendar setting that was available to me previously.
Current setup:
In Outlook 2021, I could set the default duration for new calendar entries to 60 minutes. Changing the Time Scale in New Outlook only changes the calendar display; it does not change the default duration of a new entry.
Has the option to set the default event duration been removed from New Outlook? If not, where can I change the default from 30 to 60 minutes?

It appears that there is no option to customize the default duration of meetings in the new Outlook. It’s disappointing to see Microsoft moving backward by removing useful features and functionality that were previously available.
I agree that the new Outlook is a step backwards in many respects. However, it is still a work in progress, which is why sending feedback, and voting for existing feedback, will be a good idea.
Also, note that Microsoft has stated that the classic Outlook for Windows will be supported until at least 2029, so there is still time.
