A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hi @Hill Leni,
Since the screenshot/error attachment does not appear to be visible in your post, could you please upload it again? The exact error message may provide important clues about what is causing the file to become corrupted after saving.
To help narrow down the issue, could you also provide a bit more information?
- Is the file stored locally on your iPad, in OneDrive, SharePoint, or another cloud storage service?
- Does this happen with every Word document, or only with one specific file?
- If you create a brand-new Word document on the iPad, make a small change, and save it, does that new file also become corrupted?
- After the issue occurs, can the affected file still be opened in the Word desktop app on a computer or in Word for the web?
In the meantime, please make sure that both the Word app and iPadOS are fully up to date. You may also want to sign out of Word, restart the iPad, sign back in, and then test the behavior again to see whether the same issue occurs.
Please share the error screenshot and any additional details you can provide. With a better understanding of the circumstances, it will be easier to determine whether this is related to the document itself, the storage location, or the Word app on iOS.
I look forward to your update.
