Organizing sections, permissions, and content within the Class Notebook
Try this end-to-end path:
- Test in an InPrivate/incognito browser window. If it works there, clear the browser cache and try again.
- Try a different browser. This helps confirm whether the failure is browser-specific.
- If available, try the OneNote desktop app instead of OneNote on the web. This can help determine whether the issue is limited to the web experience.
- If the issue is specifically with copying Class Notebook Content Library content to another notebook, use the built-in flow:
- Open the source Class Notebook.
- Select the Class Notebook tab.
- Select Copy to Content Library.
- Choose the sections to copy and select Next.
- Choose the destination Class Notebooks and select Copy.
- Select View copied sections to check status.
- Since the Report button is not working, generate logs manually if the error appears while distributing pages in OneNote for the web:
- After the error appears, press Ctrl + ~.
- Select Export Logs.
- A
.csvfile will download. - Submit it through https://aka.ms/edusupport.
- On Windows, Class Notebook error logs can also be collected from:
- Open File Explorer.
- Enter
%tmp%\ClassNotebookin the address bar. - Attach the logs when contacting support.
- If this still fails across web, desktop, or Teams, and the error/report flow is not working, the issue may require Microsoft support for deeper investigation.
