How to get student discounts on certification

Student discounts are available for Microsoft Certification exams in most countries/regions, except India and China. To qualify, the certification profile must be set to Student and academic status must be verified before registering and paying for the exam.

Steps:

1. Sign in to the Learn Profile and start the interest survey.
2. Select Career Paths.
3. Select Student.
4. Complete the rest of the survey and select Finished.
5. After verification is completed, register for the exam and the student discount will apply.

Important details:

• If the exam was already registered and paid for before academic verification, there is no refund.
• Academic verification is valid for 12 months and must then be repeated.
• If direct payment is still difficult, students may also use exam vouchers or an institution’s certification exam license where available. Institutions can issue vouchers through Certiport for Fundamentals exams or Pearson VUE for Fundamentals and Advanced Role-Based exams.
• Educators can also receive the academic discount by selecting Student in the Microsoft account profile and completing the same verification process.
