- Make sure the earbuds are actually in pairing mode and discoverable. For earbuds, this often requires opening the case lid or using the pairing button on the case. If needed, check the manufacturer’s instructions.
- On the laptop, open Bluetooth pairing:
- Select the Network, Sound, or Battery icon on the taskbar.
- Select Manage Bluetooth devices on the Bluetooth quick setting.
- Look under New devices.
- If preferred, use Settings instead:
- Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices
- Select Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth
- Wait for the earbuds to appear, then select them and finish pairing.
- If the earbuds still do not appear:
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
- Make sure Airplane mode is off.
- Try turning Bluetooth off and back on.
- Remove the device and pair it again if it was previously listed.
- If the earbuds support Swift Pair, a notification can appear automatically when they are nearby and in pairing mode. If that notification appears, select Connect.
If the earbuds are not shown in the list, the Bluetooth discovery setting might need to be set to Advanced.
