I have been trying my best to create the MPN ID, but I am facing an issue with the legal document verification. When I initially entered my name, I did not enter it exactly as it appears on my ID.

I am now trying to correct the name and re-upload my ID for verification. However, I cannot see any Edit or Resolve option on the portal to make the necessary changes.

Could you please guide me on how I can correct this issue and complete the registration process so that I can obtain our Microsoft Partner/MPN ID?

To correct this in Partner Center, use the Verification Summary page rather than the Legal info page.

    1. Sign in to Partner Center.
    2. Go to Settings > Account settings > Legal info.
    3. Select the Verification Summary link in the banner, or select go here under Verification status.
    4. On Verification Summary, review the current verification status.
    5. If more information is required, an Action required banner appears. Select User Action Needed to view the issue and continue the appeal process.
    6. If the page shows Resolve, select Resolve and follow the instructions to upload the correct supporting document.

For a rejected or failed verification, appeals are available only when the Verification Summary shows Resolve or User Action Needed. A user with one of these roles must submit the appeal:

    • Global admin
    • Compliance admin
    • Account admin (MAICPP-specific)
    • Manager or Owner for Developer

If the signed-in account does not have one of those roles, a Global Admin, Account Admin, or User Management Admin must assign the appropriate role in Account Settings > User Management.

When re-uploading documents, make sure the submitted information matches the Partner Center account information exactly. For identity verification, the name on the government-issued ID must match the name on the Partner Center account exactly and be in the same language. If the names do not match, update the account information in Partner Center before continuing.

    For supporting documents:

    • Use official documents only.
    • Do not use self-written documents, screenshots, or unofficial materials.
    • Ensure the document is legible and clearly shows the required details.

If no Resolve or User Action Needed button appears on Verification Summary, the available actions depend on the current verification outcome shown on that page.
