Azure for Students verification fails with "You do not have access" - AADSTS50020
Azure for Students verification fails with “You do not have access” and AADSTS50020
Hello Microsoft Support,
I am a full-time university student in Pakistan and I am trying to activate Azure for Students.
During the Azure for Students signup/verification process, I receive this message:
“You do not have access. Sorry but our systems are detecting a problem with your account and are unable to validate your access.”
I currently do not have an Azure subscription, so I cannot create a normal Azure support request.
When I tried to access the Azure Support portal, I received the following authentication error:
AADSTS50020: User account from identity provider 'live.com' does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft Services' and cannot access the application 'Microsoft_Azure_SupportPortalExtension' in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first.
The support portal therefore redirects me back to the tenant/sign-in error and I cannot contact Azure Support through the normal subscription support route.
I have already tried:
A normal browser session
A fresh/incognito browser session
Signing in again with my Microsoft account
Retrying the Azure for Students verification
The same “You do not have access” error continues to appear.
I am requesting assistance with the Azure for Students eligibility/verification issue and, if possible, an investigation of why my account cannot complete the student offer activation.
I can provide my student enrollment documentation and screenshots of the errors if required.
Error: AADSTS50020
Application: Microsoft_Azure_SupportPortalExtension
Tenant: Microsoft Services

Thank you.
