Trouble burning a CD in Windows Media Legacy

I created a burn list and put in a blank CD. A message says some files can't be burned & refer to the icon next to files in the burn list. There are no icons.

Hi,

Check whether the songs you’re trying to burn have extra dots or special characters in their filenames, especially between the file name and the extension. That can sometimes cause compatibility issues and prevent the songs from being burned to the CD.

If you're still having trouble after that, click on Organize in WMP then select Options. Go to Privacy tab and uncheck all the options under Enhanced Playback and Device Experience. Click on Apply and OK then check if it resolves the issue.

Success at last! I went through every song multiple times. I found the obvious extra characters before the extension & deleted them. When that didn't work, I searched again. Somehow at the beginning of the song title, the track number and - had been added. Once I deleted those, I was finally able to burn my custom CD. Thank you for your help!!
