If Windows Insider Program pages are not loading or the device shows an outdated or expiring build message, use this sequence:
- Check for updates manually.
Go to Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates.
- Verify the device is eligible to receive Insider builds.
- Confirm the device is running a licensed version of Windows 11.
- Go to Settings > System > Activation and make sure Windows is activated.
- Check Windows Insider Program settings.
Go to Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program.
- Make sure the Windows Insider Program is activated on the device.
- Make sure a channel is selected.
- If prompted, enable optional diagnostic data.
- If the build is expiring and no updates appear, switch to the Dev Channel and check again.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program.
- Set the device to the Dev Channel.
- Then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and select Check for Updates.
- Check whether the device is already on the latest build for its channel.
If it is already current, no newer update will appear.
- Review known issues.
A known issue with the current or next Insider build can block updates.
- If updates still do not load, a clean installation may be required.
This is the documented fallback when settings and update checks do not resolve Insider update problems. A clean install can reset the device and Insider configuration.
If the issue is specifically an expiring Insider Preview build, the documented fix is to update to the latest build available in the selected channel. If no update is offered, the likely next steps are adjusting Insider settings, moving to the Dev Channel, or doing a clean install.
