I subscribe to monthly microsoft why does my ppt not have the design assist feature?

    PowerPoint Designer, now shown as Design Suggestions, is not available in every Office install even if Microsoft is paid monthly. The supported checks are:

    1. Confirm the app is Microsoft 365 PowerPoint on desktop. On desktop, Design Suggestions are only available to Microsoft 365 subscribers. They are not included in perpetual versions such as Office 2021/LTSC.
    2. Look on the Home or Design tab. Designer is now referred to as Design Suggestions.
    3. Turn on connected experiences:
      • Open File > Account
      • Under Account Privacy, select Manage Settings
      • Enable Turn on optional connected experiences
    4. Restart PowerPoint. After installing or activating Microsoft 365, the button may not appear until the app is restarted.
    5. If the button is still missing, the organization admin may have disabled it. In that case, IT needs to re-enable it.
    6. If upgraded from a non-subscription Office install, uninstall Office and reinstall Microsoft 365 so subscriber features appear.
    7. If using PowerPoint for the web, Design Suggestions are available there to everyone.

    If the button is visible but unavailable, the documented causes are:

    • no internet connection
    • multiple slides selected
    • focus is in Notes pane
    • currently in Slide Show view instead of Normal view

    To turn on Design Ideas, open PowerPoint and go to File > Account. Under Account Privacy, select Manage Settings and make sure Turn on optional connected experiences is enabled. This allows PowerPoint to connect to Microsoft's cloud services and retrieve design suggestions.

    Next, go to File > Options > General. Scroll down to the PowerPoint Designer section and make sure Automatically show me design ideas is enabled.

    After making these changes, close and reopen PowerPoint. The Design Ideas option should then be available. The Designer button is on the Design tab.

    If you right-click on it, you can add it to your Quick Access Toolbar. There, it will be available no matter which tab is displayed.
