So i am 10, i see my step-dad's name as my family organizer but i am not in his family when he signs in his account. We have tried several accounts of both my mom and step-dad but we cannot find any such account. I need help in resetting it. My parents and I have read all the help documentation on this and really nothing helps.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Ask your Organizer (Step-dad) to sign in to the Microsoft Family Safety page with each Microsoft account he remember and check which account shows your child's profile. If you're unable to identify the account, you can also check your family group in Outlook and select Members to see which accounts are associated with the family group.

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account (Child account) on the Outlook Groups page. https://outlook.live.com/groups/
    2. Under Groups, select Your family.
    3. Click Members.
    4. Select the Organizer account and check whether it shows your organizer email address.
    5. You can use that account to sign in to the Family Safety settings page and remove your account.

If the child account shows an organizer name, but that child does not appear in the family group for the accounts already checked, the child account is most likely linked to a different Microsoft account than the ones currently being used by the parents.

    What to do:

    1. Have the adults sign in to https://family.microsoft.com with every Microsoft account they may have used before.
    2. Check whether one of those accounts shows the child account in the family group.
    3. If the child account still cannot be found, the organizer can only manage consent if that same adult originally granted consent. If consent was granted by another adult or by another Microsoft account, the child account will not appear under Manage Consent.
    4. If the adult who originally granted consent cannot access that account, attempt to recover that adult Microsoft account.
    5. If none of the accounts show the child and recovery does not resolve it, use Microsoft support:

    Important:

    • A child account cannot remove itself from the family group.
    • Support agents cannot send password reset links or change account details.
