A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
Yes, the Claude add-in is worth testing first. Since Word and PowerPoint still let you type/edit, this does not look like Microsoft 365 being blocked simply because you moved to mainland China. An Excel-specific add-in problem is more plausible.
To remove the add-in, Microsoft's instruction is here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/excel/add-or-remove-add-ins-in-excel
- Open Excel.
- Go to Home > Add-ins > More Add-ins. You may also see it under Tools > Add-ins on Mac.
- Choose My Add-ins.
- Find Claude by Anthropic for Excel.
- Click the ... next to it and choose Remove.
- Completely quit Excel with Command + Q.
- Reopen Excel and create a new blank workbook to test typing.
See if that makes any difference.
