Outlook popup windows only display in the taskbar

I have Windows 11 Pro for Workstations and Office Professional 2019.Sometime in the last few days, Outlook popup windows show in the taskbar but can't be viewed full size. E.g., if I click 'New Email' I get an icon in the task bar, but I can't view that window. I haven't changed any settings, to my knowledge.

Any clues or suggestions on how to fix this?

    Apparently, a Windows Update changed the 'multiple displays' setting from "Show only on 2" to "Extend Displays". I have a laptop with a second large screen as the primary monitor and the laptop normally closed. When it went to 'Extend Displays' the Outlook popups now showed up on the closed laptop that I normally wouldn't look at.
