Our Microsoft 365 production tenant is currently experiencing a complete administrative lockout affecting both independent Global Administrator accounts.

There is important history here because the problem began shortly after changes were made by Microsoft Support under a previous case.

Case history:

2608120010002185 – Closed: Microsoft Support reset/changed settings under this case earlier this week. Shortly after those actions were completed, our current authentication issues began.

2608190040008441 – CURRENT OPEN CASE: This is the active case for the tenant lockout and is supposedly being escalated. I have not received meaningful follow-up since Wednesday afternoon and the business remains impacted.

2608210010000477 – Duplicate of 8441

2608210010001259 – Duplicate of 8441

Both Global Administrator accounts now experience the same failure:

Username and password are accepted.

Entra redirects to “Let's keep your account secure.”

Security-information registration cannot complete.

Authentication repeatedly redirects/loops.

Entra eventually returns AADSTS50196 – LoopDetected.

Microsoft Authenticator itself is registered and functional. Normal users in the same tenant can still authenticate. The issue is affecting both independent Global Administrator accounts.

We have reproduced this across multiple devices, browsers/private sessions, and both administrator accounts.

Given the timing, I am concerned that the changes performed under case 2608120010002185 may be related to the current authentication/registration state. I am asking Microsoft to review the actions and changes made under that case as part of the investigation into 2608190040008441.

I have repeatedly contacted Microsoft Support and have been told the current case is being escalated, but I have received no substantive response since Wednesday afternoon while our production business remains without administrative access.

I am not asking Microsoft to bypass identity or tenant-ownership verification. I am available immediately to complete DNS, domain ownership, billing, organizational, or any other verification Microsoft requires.

Can a Microsoft moderator please help:

Confirm that 2608190040008441 has actually been assigned/escalated to the appropriate Data Protection / Tenant Recovery team.

Review or flag the actions performed under 2608120010002185 as potentially relevant to the subsequent lockout.

Help obtain urgent engagement on the active case given that both Global Administrators remain inaccessible.

I can provide any tenant-specific or ownership information privately if requested.
