Microsoft 365 Business Account Locked Out – MFA Reset Promised but Still Not Working – Urgent Senior Escalation Required

I am posting publicly because, after repeated contact with Microsoft Support, our business is still locked out of its Microsoft 365 account and we are running out of options.

Our company, Southern Link Consultants, has been unable to properly access its Microsoft 365 business account and business email because of an MFA issue.

We have repeatedly contacted Microsoft Support and cooperated fully with the verification process, including making the required DNS changes to verify ownership of our domain.

This issue has already been handled under multiple Microsoft support cases, including:

Previous Case: 2608110040005801

Current Case: 2608190050003354

Yesterday, the Microsoft support engineer handling the matter, Sanjana, advised us that the MFA had been reset and that access should be working by the morning.

It is now the following day.

The MFA issue is still not resolved. We still cannot access the account properly, and we are receiving no meaningful response from Microsoft Support.

This is not a minor inconvenience. This is a business Microsoft 365 account. Our company relies on Microsoft services and our domain email for communication with customers and for day-to-day operations.

What is particularly frustrating is that we have followed Microsoft's instructions, completed the requested verification steps, repeatedly contacted support, opened further cases when instructed to do so, and waited after being specifically told that the MFA reset had been completed.

Yet we remain locked out.

For an organisation of Microsoft's size and reputation, this level of handling of a business-critical account access problem is extremely disappointing.

A business customer should not have to repeatedly call support, explain the same issue to different people, open new cases and chase for responses after being explicitly told that the problem has been resolved.

I am requesting urgent senior escalation.

Could a Microsoft employee/moderator please escalate this to the appropriate Microsoft 365 Data Protection / Tenant Recovery team or a senior escalation manager and have someone take ownership of the case until access is actually restored?

We are ready to complete any further legitimate ownership or security verification immediately.

What we need is very simple:

  1. Confirm whether the MFA reset was actually completed.
  2. Investigate why we are still being challenged by the previous MFA method.
  3. Reset/remove the inaccessible authentication method if required.
  4. Allow us to register MFA again on a current device.
  5. Restore access to our Microsoft 365 business account and email.
  6. Assign one responsible escalation contact who will remain with the case until resolution.

Current Microsoft Case ID: 2608190050003354

Please do not simply direct us back to generic self-service instructions. The matter has already been through Microsoft Support and requires account-level intervention.

We need somebody with the appropriate authority to take ownership of this case urgently.

I would appreciate the attention of a Microsoft moderator or senior support representative who can get this case in front of the correct team.

Thank you.
