Hello Microsoft for Startups Team,

We are currently participating in Microsoft for Startups and have received the previous Azure credit milestone.

According to the Microsoft for Startups documentation, Milestone 3 provides $25,000 in Azure credits after maintaining 5 or more qualifying Azure workloads, with at least $1 of spend per workload, for approximately 60 days.

We have been actively using more than 5 Azure services/workloads and have maintained usage for over 60 days. However, Milestone 3 has not yet been triggered for our account.

I’m trying to understand exactly how the $1 spend threshold per workload is calculated.

For each of the 5 required workloads, does Microsoft require:

At least $1 of spend per day for each of the 60 days?

At least $1 of spend per month/billing period during the 60-day period?

At least $1 of cumulative spend on the workload, after which it only needs to remain active/qualifying for the remainder of the 60 days?

Or is there a rolling spend threshold calculated over some other measurement period?

I’m asking because we currently have 5 workloads with more than $1 in spend, but Milestone 3 still hasn’t been triggered for us too.

This makes it difficult to understand what exactly qualifies as a workload and what spend threshold Microsoft is actually evaluating.

Could someone please clarify the exact calculation method and measurement period used for the $1 threshold, preferably with a concrete example? This would help us understand what we need to maintain in order to trigger the milestone.
