Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I hope you are well.

I am writing to request a refund for my Microsoft 365 subscription payment made in July. Unfortunately, my Mac device is too old to run Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, which means I have been unable to use the services included in my subscription.

Given that the software is not compatible with my current device, I kindly ask for a refund of the subscription fee paid last July.

Please let me know if you require any further information from my side.

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards,

Mahmoud Mansour

Mahmoud,

What is your macOS version? If you have version 12 or 13, you can still use them. You just need to run an older version of installer file.

For example, for macOS Monterey 12, install the downgraded version (16.88) here: https://officecdn.microsoft.com/pr/C1297A47-86C4-4C1F-97FA-950631F94777/MacAutoupdate/Microsoft_365_and_Office_16.88.24081116_Installer.pkg?apid=ets

For macOS Ventura 13, downgrade to version 16.101 by using this installer.

https://officecdn.microsoft.com/pr/C1297A47-86C4-4C1F-97FA-950631F94777/MacAutoupdate/Microsoft_365_and_Office_16.101.25091314_Installer.pkg?apid=ets

However, if your macOS is below version 12, then you cannot use the subscription.

You said the fee was paid "last" July, do you mean July in 2025, or July like less than 30 days ago?

    Dear Microsoft Support,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request a refund for my Microsoft 365 subscription purchased in July. Unfortunately, my current MacBook Air is running macOS Big Sur (Version 11.7.11), which is no longer compatible with Microsoft 365 applications.

I visited the Apple Store yesterday, and their technical team confirmed that my device cannot support the latest version of Microsoft 365. As a result, I am unable to use the subscription and would kindly ask for a refund for the payment made last July.

Please let me know if you require any additional information, such as my subscription order number or account details, to process this request.

Thank you for your understanding and assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Mahmoud Mansour
