Why Did My Bluetooth Stop Working After Win 11 Update?

If you open Device Manager what is shown for the Bluetooth device. Can you roll back the driver?
Device Manager does not even show "Bluetooth Device".
It's now missing completely.

We have started seeing bluetooth issues across several models and different brands after the august update, where bluetooth becomes massively unstable, and crashes several times until Windows stops the device from trying more. Wifi drops every time the bluetooth crashes, but once the bluetooth is disabled after a certain amount of crashes, wifi becomes stable.
In device manager only one generic bluetooth device is left under the "bluetooth" category with a yellow mark.
It says
Denne enheten kan ikke starte. (Kode 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE
(Denne enheten kan ikke starte. = This device cannot start)
The bluetooth button will dissappear from down by the clock.
So far i have seen this on 2 Dell latitude 7450, on a XPS from 4 years back, a Lenovo T14s Gen 6 (2025)
And that is just the ones that have discovered it so far. I expect this to become a wider issue. But people that do not have bluetooth devices connected will only experience unstable wifi a few minutes, then they wont be bothered until next reboot.
Tests i have done so far on 7450 (my own laptop that has this issue)
Install latest driver from Intel - no luck
Uninstall wifi and bluetooth driver, and install again from Dell. - Apparantly this made it a little better. no immediate crashes, but bluetooth headset connected gets a weak signal, and sound is unstable. bluetooth stayed active overnight
, but unstable sound and a crash when i got to work, and listened to music for a while with lots of drops in stability until it crashed and came back online.
'Event viewer shows errors like (norwegian)
"Kan ikke lagre Bluetooth-godkjenningskoder (koblingsnøkler) på den lokale adapteren. Bluetooth-tastatur vil kanskje ikke virke i system-BIOS under oppstart."
"Det oppstod en maskinvarefeil. Hendelsen inneholder den leverandørspesifikke feilkoden."
Before reinstalling the drivers from Dell, i got a lot of
"En enhet med Bluetooth-adapteradressen (2c:41:a1:0a:63:7e) har en skadet tjenestepost (attributtidentifikator 9). Tjenesten vil ikke vises."
Next on my list is seeing if the august updates to Windows and .net are allowed to be removed.
And yes, my machine with this issue is on all the latest updates available from Dell.
Removing August updates to .Net and windows had no effect.
Yet another computer has been reported, as expected.
So we are up to 3 Dell (2 models) and 2 Lenovos(same model) so far.
I'm very surprised that we are not seeing more in the news about this, as i can not imagine what we might have introdused to our environment that may cause this, aside something pushed by Microsoft Update/intune
I have a Lenovo laptop IdeaPad 5 Pro 16IAH7, without a problem. Do you have all Lenovo/Dell updates including bios?
I can only suggest you use the Feedback Hub to report the issues. Or if you are a business and have paid support then report through your support contract.

@JMV , we have the same issue with about 4-5 devices in our company as well. We only have Dells. I am genuinely surprised this hasn't been reported anywhere else as it surely cannot be an isolated incident. Please let me know if you happen to find a workaround I will do the same if I can find anything on my end.
No I didn't because I knew it was due to a bad /buggy release.
Others had similar problems.
This latest release fixed it but now I have other problems.
@Matt Matherne yes I realise it was a problem release but the new problem could be because be solved by a bios or driver update.
As it is a Cyberpower device you will probably need to check the motherboard manufactures website for the current drivers and bios.

This update fixed the missing Bluetooth problem but now I'm not able to shut down my PC.
Loops back to starting Windows again. Stuck in this loop now.
Windows update fixed the problem with missing Bluetooth issue.
But now I have problems that I'm not able to turn off my PC because it keeps looping back to a restart mode.
Only way to turn it off is the use the power off/on button.
I tried to do a "Reset/Restore" with keeping all my files intact but at some point my PC froze during the boot up.
I did a manual power off and on which brought me back to where I'm still having problems not being able to turn off my PC because it keeps looping back to a restart mode.
Now stuck in this mode.
@Matt Matherne have you tried the recovery option in settings.
Settings > System > Recovery > Fix problems using windows update, select Reinstall now.
Can you confirm that all manufacturers drivers and bios are up to date.
Drivers and bios were checked and up to date.
Intel and Asus(MB) reminds me to do this.

Windows Feeback Hub makes the process even more complicated than this needs to be.
It's awkward to use to provide the basic information that is needed like what version of OS am I using and what is my current hardware info.
