There were a couple of uncommon apps in my Show Hidden icon menu that I never use and wanted to remove them from the Hidden icon popup. I just uninstalled the apps and of course that removed then, but I'd like to know how to just remove an app from the Hidden icon popup if I want to de-clutter. The AI answer seems to be for removing from the task bar and I know how to do that, but it doesn't work for the Hidden menu. The hidden apps I uninstalled did not show up on the system tray list.

To remove an icon from the Hidden icon menu, move it out of the notification area visibility list instead of deleting it directly.

For Windows 11:

Right-click the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
Expand Other system tray icons.
Turn Off the app icon that should no longer appear in the system tray.
If the icon is currently visible on the taskbar, it can also be dragged from the system tray back into the overflow area.

For Windows 10:

Right-click the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
Under Notification area, select Select which icons appear on the taskbar.
Turn Off the icon that should no longer appear.
