Hello,

I am having an issue with the verification process for Azure for Students.

I accessed the following page:

Azure for Students

After clicking the “Start free” button, I entered my personal information in the “Academic verification required” form and clicked the button to verify my academic status.

However, I have not received the verification email at my university email address.

My university email address is: [Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]****@knou.ac.kr

I have already tried the following:

  • Checked my spam/junk folder.
  • Tried the verification process using different browsers, including Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Unfortunately, the issue persists, and I still have not received the verification email.

Could you please check whether there is an issue with sending the verification email to my university email address and advise me on how I can complete the academic verification process?

Thank you for your assistance.

    Hi,

Since you have already checked your Spam/Junk folder and tested with different browsers, the next step would be to verify whether your university account and email domain are properly recognized within Microsoft's Azure and Microsoft 365 services.

To start with, please try signing in using your university account and check whether you receive any error messages, such as "incorrect username" or anything similar. If you do encounter such an error, I would recommend contacting your university's IT department or Microsoft 365/Azure administrator. They should be able to confirm whether your institution has Azure/Microsoft cloud services enabled for student accounts and whether your account is eligible to use those services.

However, if your university administrator confirms that Azure/Microsoft services are available and correctly configured for student accounts, then it would be best to contact Azure Support for further investigation of the Azure for Students verification issue.

When creating the support request, please include the following information:

    • Your university email domain: @knou.ac.kr
    • The Azure for Students sign-up page you used
    • The approximate date and time when you attempted the verification
    • Screenshots of any error messages, if available
    • Confirmation that no verification email was received, even after checking your Spam/Junk folder

Providing these details will help the Azure Support team review the verification process and determine why the academic verification email was not delivered.

You can find guidance on creating a support request here: How to create an Azure support request - Azure portal | Microsoft Learn

In addition, please make sure that you are using the same Microsoft account throughout the entire sign-up and verification process, as using different accounts may sometimes lead to verification issues.

I hope this information helps clarify the situation and points you in the right direction. Please feel free to share any updates or let me know if you run into any difficulties along the way. I'll be happy to assist further if I can.

    Kind regards,
