Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
Dear @Stephen L
I understand your concern. However, in New Outlook, the ability to drag a calendar item to another month using automatic scrolling is currently not available. The scrolling behavior that existed in Classic Outlook has been removed, so you cannot drag an appointment across month boundaries in the same way.
As a workaround, you can:
- Open the appointment and change the date to the desired month, then save it.
- Cut and paste the appointment by selecting it, pressing Ctrl+C, navigating to the target date, and pressing Ctrl+V.
If drag-and-drop scheduling across months is an important part of your workflow, I recommend you use Classic Outlook, which continues to support more advanced calendar drag-and-drop functionality.
If this is a feature you would like to see, I suggest keeping an eye on the New Microsoft Outlook blog or the Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365 for any updates on this feature.
I also strongly recommend that you share your detailed experience and feedback directly with the Microsoft product team through their official channels. This is the most effective way to make your voice heard and influence future feature improvements and adjustments. You can visit the Outlook (new) · Community to submit a new idea or vote on an existing one. The product team is in charge of this site, and they constantly check customer reviews and feedback. The higher the number of votes, the more attention the team will pay to it. Many features are developed and improved based on customer feedback.
I hope the information shared is helpful. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
