To move from a Windows 11 Insider Preview build to standard Windows 11, the supported path depends on the build currently installed:

    1. Check whether the device can simply stop receiving preview builds:
      • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program.
      • Select Stop getting preview builds.
      • If available, enable Unenroll this device when the next version of Windows releases.
      • This keeps the current installation and stops future Insider builds when the next public version is reached.
    2. If the current Insider build is ahead of the public release, an immediate rollback to standard Windows without reinstalling is not supported by the provided guidance.
      • In that case, a clean installation of Windows 11 is the documented way to return to a non-Insider installation.
    3. To do a clean install with a standard Windows 11 ISO:
      • Back up all files and applications first.
      • Download the latest Windows 11 ISO.
      • Open the ISO in File Explorer so Windows mounts it.
      • Run setup.exe.
      • During setup, select Change what to keep and choose Nothing.
      • This erases files, settings, and applications.
    4. After the clean install finishes:
      • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program if Insider settings still need to be reviewed.

    Important:

    • A clean install is destructive and removes apps, settings, and files unless they are backed up first.
    • If switching Insider channels, a clean install may also be required.

    Hi Peter,

Which Insider build are you on?

Use WIN+R, type winver for the build #.

If you are on Release, Beta or Dev build

I would Unenroll then wait til the Public

    release usually in Oct.
