I've had a Dell Latitude 9430 for a while now. I regularly use Dell SupportAssist.
Why does Microsoft want to update "Dell, Inc. Firmware Driver Update (0.1.41.0)" when my BIOS already has version 1.41.0, released on July 21, 2026?
It's incomprehensible and could cause bugs.
All computer manufacturers recommend updating with their own firmware, drivers, etc.
Can we still trust Microsoft updates?
PS:
I have already had problems with drivers with Microsoft for Intel WiFi 6E AX211 160 MHz, I had to struggle for days because of the Microsoft driver. Since then, I've been forced to disable automatic Windows updates and choose them manually. It's getting frustrating.
