Hello, I need help installing Microsoft Visio 2013 for my new Laptop PC.

I have a valid Visio 2013 Volume License product key.

However, I do not have access to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center or the Volume Licensing portal, so I cannot download the Visio 2013 Volume License installation media.

I already downloaded the Office 2013 Deployment Tool for Click-to-Run from Microsoft, but I understand that this tool is mainly for Click-to-Run products such as VisioProRetail, But my license is a volume license.

My PC currently has Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise installed.

Could you please confirm:

  1. Where I can officially download the Visio Professional 2013 Volume License installation media without access to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  2. Whether there is any supported way to install Visio 2013 Volume using the Office 2013 Deployment Tool and setup.exe /configure configuration.xml
  3. If not, could you provide me with the official download method or installation media for Visio 2013 Volume License?

I already have a valid Visio 2013 Volume License. My main issue is that I cannot obtain the correct installation media.

I need the full installation media, not a service pack, viewer, or update package.

    Hi @S H Kim

I will address your concerns one by one.

Regarding the official download location for the Visio Professional 2013 Volume License installation media.

As far as I know, Visio Professional 2013 Volume License installation media is only distributed through Microsoft's Volume Licensing channels. If you do not have access to the Volume Licensing section in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center or the associated Volume Licensing agreement, there is no public Microsoft download location for the Visio 2013 Volume License installation media.

You can refer via: Download Volume Licensing Products | Microsoft Learn

Any supported methods to install Visio 2013 Volume License using the Office 2013 Deployment Tool with setup.exe /configure configuration.xml

Currently, I have not found any documentation or guidance indicating that this is supported. Based on my research, the Office 2013 Deployment Tool was designed for Click-to-Run (C2R) products and does not provide a supported deployment method for traditional Visio 2013 Volume License (MSI-based) installation media.

Alternative Methods to Obtain the Installation Media

As I mentioned earlier, the official method is to obtain the installation media through the Volume Licensing agreement associated with the license. You can contact your current administrator who has the Volume Licensing Administrator or Product Downloads Manager role for the corresponding License ID and ask them to access the installation media through the Microsoft Volume Licensing portal or applicable admin center download resources.

    I hope this helps.

If you have any additional concerns, feel free to comment below. I would be more than happy to assist.
