Create a new PPT with a single text box > Apply a simple Fade animation > Run Slide Show > If that animation works, the issue is likely with your presentation file rather than the phone.

2.Check how the file is stored

Open the presentation from OneDrive > Also save a local copy to the iPhone and test > Corrupted cloud sync can occasionally affect playback behavior.

3.Identify which animations fail

Do all animations fail or only certain effects (Pulse, Color, Grow/Shrink, Motion Paths, etc.)? Microsoft notes that some animation types are not fully supported across mobile platforms.

4.Test in presentation mode

Open the file > Start the presentation using the Slide Show button > Tap to advance animations. On iPhone, animations are triggered during slide advancement rather than always playing automatically.
