Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
For new Outlook on Windows 11, try these steps in order:
- Restart new Outlook.
- Right-click Start > Task Manager.
- Select Microsoft Outlook > End task.
- Confirm Outlook is fully closed, then reopen it.
- Repair new Outlook.
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Find Outlook (new).
- Select the three dots > Advanced options > Repair.
- Restart Outlook and test People/Contacts again.
- If Contacts still spins in the main window, try opening People in a separate window.
- In a reported matching case, People opened normally in a new window even when it kept spinning in the main Outlook window.
- If the issue continues, uninstall and reinstall new Outlook.
- From Start, select new Outlook for Windows.
- Expand the app entry and select Uninstall.
- Reinstall it from the Microsoft Store. New Outlook requires Windows 10 version 17763.0 or later, so Windows 11 is supported.
If none of the above resolves it, submit feedback from within new Outlook:
- Open Help > Feedback and include a short description of the Contacts loading issue.
