I've been trying to retrieve access to my old email account on order to sign into my old xbox account on my PC however I'm locked out and it's asking details such as email subjects from an account I've not accessed in a long time. I've been trying to speak to a handler in order to provide any further information i can make such as the other two accounts I've made since then and identification to prove identity of the owner of the account but its come to nil. I was around 14 when making this and it's been nearly ten years since I tried getting access again.

Has anyone had this and able to help me as I've spent a lot of money in the past and now conscious I don't have access to any of the products on my account now.

The supported recovery options are limited to Microsoft’s account recovery and sign-in tools.

    1. Try the Sign-in Helper first. It can guide to the correct self-help flow and may offer the chance to talk to an agent.
    2. If the account is hacked or compromised, run a full malware scan on the PC before changing the password:
      • Open Windows Security
      • Go to Virus and threat protection
      • Select Scan options > Full scan > Scan now
    3. If sign-in is possible, change the password immediately. If not, use the password reset flow.
    4. If the recovery form is required, improve the submission by adding as much exact historical information as possible:
      • old passwords that may have been used
      • exact email subject lines
      • contacts that were emailed from the account
      • Skype ID or Skype contacts, if used
      • Xbox console hardware ID from a console used frequently, if available
      • details of recent Skype purchases, if applicable
      • correct account domain such as .com or country-specific domains like .co.uk
    5. Use a working email address for the recovery form so Microsoft can respond about the request.

    Important limits:

    • If two-step verification was turned on and none of the alternate verification methods are accessible, support agents cannot reset the password or change account details.
    • Support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or access and change account details.
    • If the username is turned off for sign-in, sign in with another alias on the same Microsoft account that is not blocked.
    • If the account is locked, sign in at https://account.microsoft.com to request a security code. Any phone that can receive text messages can be used for that code; it does not need to be associated with the account.

For the Xbox access concern, Microsoft Q&A guidance in similar cases states that access cannot be restored outside the official recovery process, and Xbox purchases and progress remain tied to the original Microsoft account.
