    Dear khen chum

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. I understand that whenever you cut or copy content in a Word document on your iPad Pro, the document disappears.

This behavior seems to be affecting multiple Word for iPad users currently. See similar issue: Word app on iPad crashes whenever i try to copy text

    I suggest trying the following:

    1. Before changing anything, locate the document in Word under Recent, then check the iPad Files app, Recently Deleted, iCloud Drive, and OneDrive. If you find it, save another copy to OneDrive or a different folder.
    2. Create a blank Word document, type a few words, then copy one word. This helps determine whether the issue affects every document.

If the issue continues, save a backup of the document to OneDrive or another safe location. Avoid using Cut and only use Copy after the file has been backed up. You can temporarily edit the document in Pages on iPad or Word for the web as workarounds.

In the meantime, I also recommend reporting the issue through Word > Help & Feedback or through Microsoft Feedback Portal so it can reach the relevant product team, as reports posted on this user-to-user forum may not be seen by them. Also, keep Word and iPadOS fully updated in case any new updates become available.

Please note that moderators and contributors, including external Microsoft employees, cannot directly change Microsoft product features or access back-end systems, we can only share suggestions based on our findings and personal experiences.

Thank you so much for your patience and your understanding!

    Best regards.
